Trainingportal -Share the moment Print E-mail

This spring, the Eurovision Song Contest (Melodi Grand Prix – MGP – in Norwegian) was held at the Telenor Arena in Oslo. Jimmy Jump, a PR hungry stuntman stormed the stage and stole the show for a few moments. Aside from that stunt, I thought the whole arrangement was well executed.

The theme for this year's Eurovision Song Contest was “Share the moment”. In addition to a sold-out Telenor Arena, and a festive television audience across the land, thousands of people joined in a nationwide social celebration on Twitter. I followed the Twitter discussion during the show and was fascinated. Twitter actually helped realise the theme of “Share the moment” in practice – across national boundaries. Jan Barstad was one of many tweeters who shared the moment with the rest of us. Barstad tweeted:

- Social Media will never be the same after #mgp in “oslo #norway. @janbarstad

Other tweeters shared the moment with us as well and sparked a good discussion. Frank Budimir tweeted:

- Many with fiddles this year after Rybak's victory last year. If Turkey wins there will be a lot of angle grinders next year. Cool. @Frabud

Budimir is referring to the blazing angle grinder show put on by the artists from Turkey during this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Mintra places a lot of emphasis on innovative solutions, whether they be new social media or improvements on traditional learning arenas. Trainingportal is an arena where you can choose from more than 200 different offerings for practical training, classroom courses, and e-learning courses. If you book a course and training programme through Trainingportal and Mintra, our technology facilitates automatic updating of your course participant's CV in your company's HR system.

During the coming year, Mintra will launch a next generation learning platform, where we focus on opportunities for using social media during the learning process and streamline booking of 3rd party course offerings for practical training, classroom and e-learning courses. In brief, we combine innovative visions with well established solutions.

Social media combined with traditional e-learning gives back some of the feeling of community we loose by moving learning away from the classroom and over to the computer. When we then combine this solution with practical training and classroom courses, the circle is complete and conditions are perfect for cost-effective training that has a positive learning effect.

We look forward to what the future holds and hope to “Share the moment” with you along the way!

Our vision: Enriching people through knowledge!

Have a great summer!

Sincerely,

Chul Christian Aamodt
