NFF (The Norwegian Association for Distance Education) is hoping that this year’s conference, which is being held on 20 – 21 November at the Norwegian School of Management (BI) at Nydalen in Oslo, will offer some possible answers to these questions. The conference will serve as a meeting place for education and the working world, with the participants being those who both provide and need training. By learning together, exchanging experiences and networking, a foundation will be created for future cooperation on the development of good competence building.
Representatives from educational institutions and industry will speak from different perspectives on competence building, with special emphasis to be placed on how flexible training opportunities can play an important role. Learning at the workplace is a central theme, which will be illustrated with good examples on the use of new technology and innovative ways of learning. In parallel sessions, participants will explore in depth, among other things, how to increase motivation for competence building in companies; how new tools can create variation and activity in training; and how training opportunities and businesses can find each other in the “learning jungle.”
The conference begins Tuesday morning and runs through Wednesday after lunch, with a social program on Tuesday night. More information about the program, as well as the registration form and practical information can be found at www.nade-nff.no
